Mummy dearest
I didn't know I can be such a mama. Must be taking after my dearest Mama Liew. Yesterday was my youth Valentine's fund raising project. We organized a fund raising Valentine dinner for our church couples. Two other youth and I were in charge of babysitting (unfortunately) their kids. So all together we had 3 kids, ranging from the age of 2 to 5 years old. ( Thank God it's only 3). The reason why we had this babysitting service is so that the couple could enjoy a meal together just like the good old days before the kids came. Well, i find it really strange that for my size they did not bully me where else these two other people babysitting with me who are much taller and bigger than I am got bullied like nobody's business. The way I talk with the kids, play with the kids, persuade the kids to stop crying, mien... I feel such a mama.... Even I get scared of myself... So young yet so mama.. Anyhow, I had a superb time with the kids. So much laughter... only kids have that magical gift to bring laughter for no good reasons.. Plus we managed to do 2 craft work. A bunny and a butterfly, something that the kids could take home with them. (I hope their parents are pleased). I'm starting to grow to believe that kids are the most creative people in the world... =)
Just a tip:
Balloons are good tool to distract a kid. They'll come in real handy to keep the kids occupied and distracted. Next time, we shall just use the easy way out. Liquor it is...=P
P/s- JC Extremers, you guys did a fantastic job. Thank you for being a living testimony. I'm proud of you guys...*hugs*
