Everyone needs someone to stand with them...
...not just your friends,
not just the broken hearted...
EVERYONE
that includes you.I feel like God is doing something in my heart, a renovation work perhaps. I've begin to see and experienced the imperfection of man and the issues that a Christian struggle with through my life and the life of others. It is real. Very real indeed. Christians struggle and fight to stay on track in their walk with God. I don't know about you, but I've met some Christians who have ideals of what a Christian should be. Many a times we fail to meet those ideals, and when that happens we feel that we have missed the mark. We are no longer an ideal Christian. We become shameful and carry the guilt that our sins and failures has brought upon us. I think that sometimes we failed to see that we are Christians yet still very much human. Of cos God wants us to be in His likeness, but He knows us so well, He knows that we are made out of dust, we are humans, we fall short of His glory. But He gives us 2nd chances. Noticed i mentioned chances with the 's', that's right. He knows that we need more than one 2nd chance even when we don't even deserve a single 2nd chance. It's only by His grace that we have this privilege and honor, unmerited favor. Grace. Given freely. He accepts us the way we are, just as the very condition that we are in, broken, ugly, unworthy..
It is by His grace that He has accepted us just as we are...
It is by His grace that we can come out of our past, our guilt, our shame, our pain, our ideals of ourself...
Why is it that we have to appear stronger, wiser, more spiritual, ideal when we are not? As a real fact we are all broken people. We are in need of people to stand with us. Not people who will pass judgment on us just because we have missed the mark of an ideal Christian. We faced real life issues, we face temptations, we struggle and sometimes we failed. That is the reality. There is beauty in imperfection. It shows that we are in need of a Perfect God. A Perfect God who could accept such imperfection.
Real. Very real indeed. The Christian life is a journey and it is a struggle. The older I get, the harder I find it to journey in this walk. The reality of life, the world, the people. Reality do bites. And the more you step into reality, the more you will see how imperfect Christians really are. They need real people who are willing to stand with them and journey with them. In my imperfection, I've learned not to set ideals of what one should be but choose to believe that we are all imperfect people, struggling and trying to stay on track on our wonderful journey with our Savior and Friend.
His love and grace has accepted our imperfections...
It's time to come out of our past, our guilt, our pain, our shame, our failures
I want to stand with you...
